How can I inform myself about new job offers at Fraunhofer FOKUS?

To get informed about our latest job vacancies at Fraunhofer FOKUS, please visit our career site. Our career site is available in German as well as in English.

Furthermore, there is the possibility to register for our job newsletter. You then have the option to specify the interval, keywords, and the desired location. You will then receive regular emails at the email address you provided.

  • What documentation should I submit?

    Please have the following documents ready for your application:

    • Cover letter: The cover letter should be concise and convincing. Explain why you are suitable for the advertised position and convince us with your creativity! Please also include a possible starting date.
    • Resume: Your resume should include all relevant experience and skills in chronological order and be clearly organized. References to additional experience (e.g. volunteer work or special skills) are also welcome!
    • Testimonials: Attach relevant references and testimonials that demonstrate your skills and experience.
    • An application photo is not required for the applications! Please refrain from sending us one. We would like to evaluate your application as unbiased as possible based on experience and skills.

    Information for university students:
    If you are applying during your studies, documents such as your high school diploma, current grades, internship certificates or a list of ECTS credits earned so far are desirable

    Information for pupils:
    We welcome applications for student internships by email to the adress listed above. Please write something about your interests, your favorite subjects, what you do in your free time or what your family, friends and teachers like about you.

  • Applications for positions at Fraunhofer FOKUS can only be submitted through the respective job listings on our career website. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications received via email or postal mail due to technical constraints.

  • Applying for multiple job postings is generally possible. Please apply separately for each position. If you need to submit additional documents, please upload them to the corresponding position rather than your profile.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact timeframe for when you will receive feedback on your application. However, we always strive to respond to applications as promptly as possible. For applications with a specified deadline, you will receive a response from us after its expiration.

    An interim notification is typically planned two to three weeks after the receipt of your application. The duration may vary depending on the number of applicants and the time required to process the documents.

  • Our interviews often take place online, but also on site. Optimal preparation for the interview includes researching the institute and the position (website / social media), reflecting on one's own competencies, outlining authentic answers to possible questions, and listing one's own questions.

  • In certain conditions, we can reimburse your travel expenses. Feel free to inquire about the applicable regulations before your job interview.

  • Please log in to your applicant profile and navigate to the ‘Jobs Applied‘ tab. Once you have selected the respective application, you can withdraw your application by clicking on the designated button at the bottom right of the subsequent page.

  • Your data will be deleted six months after the completion of the application process.

  • We offer internships for pupils throughout the year.

  • TVöD is the abbreviation for the collective agreement for the public service of the German Federal Government. The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and thus also the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems apply this collective agreement to the employment contract, remuneration and social benefits.
