The business unit “Colalborative Safety and Security” offers students of computer science and related topics the opportunity to realize and get support for master theses (currently no bachelor theses). Some of the theses have a research and design focus in the subject area and can be carried out in particular by non-computer scientists. Other work also requires programming, i.e. experience in computer science or software development is assumed.
We will be happy to provide details of the work by email or in a meeting.
Topics for the Bachelor's or Master's thesis:
- “Design and development of an evaluation model for intrusion detection systems with a focus on IoT botnets” (design, development)
- “Development of an intrusion detection system to detect the scanning, propagation and attack phases of an IoT botnet”
- “Realization of interactive (SVG) images as response options for questionnaires”
- “Energy-efficient CI/CD pipelines”
- “Draft of a mobile application for communicating with citizens in the event of a power outage”
- “Requirements analysis for a semantic-based aggregation, classification and metadata-enriched management tool for situation-based reactive offers in the field of IT security”
