Open5GCore Release 4 Coming September 2018

Ope5GCore Release 4 (planned for September 2018) represents a genuine 5G core network supporting the non-standalone and the standalone 5G New Radio as well as supporting non-3GPP accesses, enabling the establishment of realistic 5G testbeds.

The new release implements the AMF, SMF control plane functions, chaining and parallel usage of UPFs with PFCP protocol and going beyond the support for the 5G service-based architecture, enabling microservices like functionality split.
