M.Sc. Raphael Seidel

Raphael Seidel is a researcher in the SQC business unit

Education and profession

Raphael Seidel studied physics at RWTH Aachen University, focused on quantum field theory, and received his master's degree in 2020. The title of his master's thesis was "Feynman-Rules for Massive and Massless Spinor Helicity Variables" and dealt with a more efficient formulation of the dynamics of the exchange particles of the strong interaction (so-called gluons).

Seidel worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) as a student assistant in micro structuring research during his studies.

Since early 2021, he has been researching at Fraunhofer FOKUS within the Quality Engineering for Quantum Computing group. His main area of interest is the research and efficient implementation of quantum algorithms. Further areas of interest are quantum error correction and the development of the quantum high-level language "Qrisp".

  • SeQuenC - Development and Analysis of a Quantum Cloud Platform
  • Qompiler - Development of a software stack for quantum software development with quantum high-level language as UI and standardized backend interface.
