Research Topics Smart Mobility

While working closely together with the industry, the Smart Mobility team reserves freedom to develop solutions for the far future or which might look crazy in the very beginning. The main topics in research in the area of Smart Mobility are collaborative mobility, indoor localization, learning maps and highly automated driving.

The Business Unit Smart Mobility of Fraunhofer FOKUS is keen about doing research and developing innovations. It is strongly involved in teaching at the Technische Universität Berlin and supports students doing their Bachlor, Master and Doctoral Thesis.

Highly-Automated Driving

Adapting cooperation into novel driver assistance systems, by combining experience from fields of research and development

Simulation

Eclipse MOSAIC couples different simulators and enables the simulation of various aspects of future Intelligent Transportation Systems

Learning Map

Generation, management and maintenance of automatically generated high resolution digital maps

Collaborative mobility

Development of applications for collaborative mobility
