About Future Applications and Media

The business unit Future Applications and Media (FAME) develops cutting-edge expertise and solutions for next-generation media applications. Its work spans AI-driven media, digital learning technologies, provenance and authenticity, and scalable internet-delivered solutions, as well as advanced 5G/6G network infrastructures for media delivery. Building on this foundation, FAME enables seamless interoperability across platforms, sustainable streaming, personalized user experiences, and data-driven monetization for digital media ecosystems. Fraunhofer FOKUS FAME combines applied research, standardization, and practical technology development to shape the future of media.
